PSYCH-K was developed by Robert M. Williams MA in 1988. It includes information and processes for dramatically accelerating personal growth. The PSYCH-K system uses both old and new tools in order to bring about change. The name is derived from Psychological Kinesiology, a term which is no longer used as PSYCH-K is now favoured.
PSYCH-K is a safe, effective way to dissolve resistance to change at the subconscious level. Our behaviour is a direct reflection of our beliefs, perceptions and values that are all generated from past experiences. The problem that we face is in how we change these old beliefs, perceptions and values, into new positive ones that benefit our lives.
There are many examples of how our subconscious can affect our lives. For example, we may be attracted the same type of relationships over and over, a low self esteem which can hinder success or finding a partner and so on. Therefore, PSYCH-K uses Brain Dominance Theory (split-brain research) to provide ways to quickly identify and transform beliefs that sabotage you into beliefs that support you in all areas of your life.
A PSYCH-K balance may be felt instantaneously or it may evolve over time. For example, if you goal is to find a new job, releasing the fear of changing jobs or being unemployed may be felt at the time of the balance. However, getting a new job may take additional time and action due to factors such as researching new career opportunities, attending interviews and so on.
A PSYCH-K workshop is held where attendees are taught the techniques. After this workshop, the attendee is then able to use the technique whenever it is necessary and they are also able to facilitate the process for themselves, their family and their friends.
