Tips for Losing Weight

By making just a few simple healthy lifestyle changes, you can be on your way to losing that extra bit of weight.
Here are some tips on how to lose weight without sweating it much.
Add, Don't Subtract
Try adding healthy foods to your diet instead of subtracting them.
Add in healthy goodies you really adore, such as juicy cherries, juicy grapes, or crunchy snow peas. You can easily slip those favourite fruits into a zip lock bag for snacks while you carry on with your day’s activities. Registered dietitian David Grotto, RD, LDN, author of 101 Optimal Life Foods, says that ‘Adding in really works, taking away never does," he goes on to says that is important ‘to remember to keep an eye on overall calories. And don't forget to add in something physical, too, whether it's doing a few dance moves before dinner, shooting hoops, or taking a quick stroll’.
Forget About Working Out
If the word "exercise" stimulates avoidance, then evade it. Enjoy a good workout by not actually realising that your fun is exercise.
Grotto says that ‘there's some truth to that,’ and once you start avoiding the word exercise, you might discover that ‘the way good health feels knocks down the roadblocks that were preventing you from exercising in the first place.’
You can try walking everywhere rather than driving, swimming, riding bikes, hiking, washing the car, playing Frisbee, taking the dog for a walk.
Hydration Really Helps
David Anthony, an information technology consultant from Atlanta. "Drinking a glass of water before a meal helps me watch what I eat. I don't just hog everything, since I'm not so hungry."
Therefore, consuming a glass of water before you eat will help you to not feel so famished.
Lighten Your Food
One of the easiest ways to cut back on the calories and unhealthy foods is to switch and substitute. A pizza tastes just as good with reduced-fat cheese, and grilled vegetables. Your favourite muffin or cake recipe will also taste just as good with a sugar substitute such as maple syrup or agave.
