Bullying is the use of force or intimidation to abuse someone physically, emotionally or verbally. The threatening of abuse also constitutes bullying. Indications that a person is being bullied include low self-esteem, withdrawal from reality, signs of physical abuse including cuts and bruises, depression/anxiety, difficulties sleeping and an unwillingness to go to school or work. Methods of helping a person that is being bullied include counselling, involving authorities for intervention where necessary and behavioural therapy.
