Heart murmur

A heart murmur is the presence of an abnormal sound in the heart. There are two types, innocent and abnormal murmurs. Abnormal murmurs can cause the skin to turn a blue color, prevent growth in infants, cause excessive sweating, chest pain, fainting and fatigue and may require medication or surgery. Innocent murmurs are benign and do not usually require any treatment.
