Peptic ulcers line the stomach and duodenum, are benign and caused mainly by bacteria. Ulcers can also be cause by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which are used to treat other medical conditions. Burning stomach pain, weight loss, nausea and vomiting are symptoms of peptic ulcers. Cutting out NSAIDs, acupuncture, medication including antibiotics, surgery in some cases, nutrition changes and herbal remedies can all provide treatment for peptic ulcers
