Polycystic Ovaries

Polycystic ovaries refer to follicles in the ovary which develop normally but are unable to release an egg. Polycystic ovaries and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) are not mutually exclusive. You may have polycystic ovaries but not have or ever develop PCOS.
