Social Anxiety Disorder is a disorder where the individual experiences extreme anxiety for fear of becoming embarrassed, laughed at and judged by others. People who have social anxiety disorder can become anxious in social situations or avoid social situations entirely. Symptoms of anxiety can include shaking, sweating, blushing, shaky voice or dry mouth. Social skills training, cognitive behavioural therapy and medication can be used to help treat social anxiety disorder.
