Welcome to Charles Bourne Traditional AcupuncturistI am a professional acupuncturist based in West London. I work at Brook Green Clinic in Hammersmith and can also do home visits in the surrounding area. I hold a BSc in Acupuncture and am a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
I am qualified in 5 Element and Traditional Chinese Medicine styles of acupuncture and have also undertaken further training in trigger point therapy, sports acupuncture, channel diagnosis and Tui Na (Chinese massage).
Prior to becoming an acupuncturist I worked in sport as a rowing coach, so I have many years experience of helping people to perform to their best.
About myself
I trained at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading under the supervision of some of the leading acupuncturists in the country today.
As well as holding a Licentiate and BSc(Hons) in Acupuncture, I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council, the main regulatory body for traditionally trained acupuncturists in the UK.
What can acupuncture treat?
Within China's traditional medical system acupuncture is second only to herbal medicine in rank and as such has been developed to treat a wide range of conditions and illnesses. Some of the most commonly treated conditions are:- Pain

It is not important that you have a clearly diagnosed condition, as a traditional acupuncture diagnosis is made through the grouping together of many minor signs and symptoms which would not necessarily be regarded as 'diseases' in a conventional medical sense. This means that even if your symptoms are vague and difficult to define it will be possible to make a diagnosis and treatment plan that meets your body's needs.
