Who Does the Bridge Support?
Beneficiaries are young people aged 10-25 who are experiencing difficulties with family, friends, school and their own identity often causing social exclusion.
Social exclusion can happen to anyone, however young people most at risk are those in care, from poor households, those who do not attend school, and those from minority ethnic communities.
The Bridge Mentoring Plus Scheme often becomes the final avenue available to them as they will no longer engage with statutory agencies or schools and have exhausted all other avenues of support.
