Inspiring Courses
We offer a wide range of therapies and classes at our beautiful centre and are always glad to welcome new therapists and teachers. Working in a team helps manage the loneliness that individual therapists can feel when working from home or travelling from one clients' home to another. Here at The Shiatsu Centre you carry out your own work independently and can also join together with your colleagues to share publicity costs and promote yourself. The best of both worlds!
We have 2 treatment rooms: one on the ground floor and one downstairs, and 2 training rooms: one on the first floor and one downstairs (we call it the Meditation Room and we use it for contemplation as well as yoga, Pilates and Shiatsu). Each room is individually decorated, and we provide massage couches and pillows to therapists; and white boards, overhead projector, cushions, candles and chairs to teachers. Tea and biscuits are always there for you in your breaks!
Everyone who works with us has their own web page with a link to their personal site. We have tables and notice boards for your leaflets and business cards, and reception cover 10am-4pm or 11am-5pm, 7 days a week. You can be a key holder if you want to work early in the morning or later at night. We have art exhibitions and a small shop (to be developed!) which attract new people to the centre, and monthly newsletters and regular open days.
We are in the very centre of Edinburgh, just off Lothian Road, close to Princes Street. Right outside is on-street meter parking, and there are 3 huge car parks within 5 minutes walk.
The basic rates are £8 per hour for the treatment rooms and £12 per hour for the training rooms. Block bookings are negotiable, and you can also book one hour at a time.

QUALIFICATION DETAILS
All teachers at The Shiatsu School Edinburgh are MRSS (Member of The Professional Register of The Shiatsu Society) and the Director, Tamsin Grainger and Assessment Co-ordinator, Cynthia Shuken are also Registered Teachers.
