Variety of training is our watchword, quality of training and results our promise. To demonstrate our belief that we can deliver we impose no membership fee or minimum commitments, simply pay as you train. We don’t need to tie you in as our sessions sell themselves.

Personal Training

At IgnitePT we put the personal back into PERSONAL TRAINING. Training on a one to one basis through to very small class sizes. This provides the space and freedom to work with your trainer without having to queue for equipment or compromise the quality of the workout through space restrictions.

All of our trainers are handpicked and can only operate from the studio after having undergone a rigorous quality and skills assessment. Trainers who care about their own levels of qualification and training are key to caring about yours. The client experience is also crucial to us and hence the studio is operated on the basis of ensuring you get a quality experience by us limiting the number of trainers allowed to work at the studio. Similarly classes are kept at low levels during peak times to maintain your experience at the optimum level we can.

Personal Training is available with any of our team and we can assist you to select the right trainer for your goals and fitness level, ensuring you have a great rapport and experience on your trip to getting fit and toned.

We can train you for specific goals, be they sports specific, weight loss, boxing and so on.

Health

As a studio we are committed to ensuring that we have leading edge facilities and tools to assist you to meet you goals.

As part of this commitment we have invested in MicroFit fitness assessment products. MicroFit Health and Fitness Systems were developed in conjunction with the prestigious Stanford University School of Medicine in California.

There are five different types of assessment and planning we can work with you on:
  1. Health History: determines a clients readiness for exercise. By screening you for health risks before designing an exercise program, we can reduce any chance of injury.

  2. Fitness Profile: complete physical fitness assessment with over 40 tests This unique personalized service provides education and motivation, helping to set realistic goals and track progress. A true commitment to personal service.

  3. Wellness Profile: analyses lifestyle behaviours and recommends improvements.

  4. Health Survey: provides client feedback from exercise, diet or other improvement plan.

  5. Exercise/Diet Planner: creates individualised diet exercise plans
These computer-controlled MicroFit assessments provide professional reports with immediate, accurate and personalized feedback allowing your trainer to help you create individualized improvement programs. MicroFit assessments help measure the efficacy of specific activities, programs and equipment. With MicroFit reports we can evaluate the impact on your health status and make more informed decisions about how best to assist you with your goals.

Osteopathy

How can osteopathy help with sports injuries?

Osteopathy takes a holistic view of the athlete that helps to prevent and treat injuries. We consider your individual biomechanics, training patterns, nutrition and lifestyle factors. This, combined with the most up-to-date thinking on sports medicine and injuries, provides you with a new approach to managing those troublesome aches and pains that can impede training programmes and prevent your sporting goals being achieved.

What treatments are available?

Treatment plans are tailored in discussion with each individual client and draw from the following areas:
Structural osteopathic techniques, including muscle energy techniques, joint articulation and manipulation Sports Massage to help remove by-products of exercise such as lactic acid from muscles. Western Medical acupuncture which uses acupuncture needles to release trigger points in muscles. Very effective way to deal with muscle strains and long-term injuries Gait analysis that assesses the whole body to identify biomechanical factors that might cause injuries and providing advice on rectifying these through exercises and alternative footwear etc Rehabilitation plans discussed and agreed with you, to help you to recover faster and prevent future injuries. These frequently include recommendations for home exercises.
