Julie Brooks is the founder of and partner in Food 4 The Journey Nutritional Therapy and believes that in addition to a healthy lifestyle, if we are to live well, then we must eat well.
Julie qualified in catering initially and in latterly as a Nutritional Therapist. She graduated from Premier Training International in Wiltshire.
Julie is on the Board of Reference for Fit 4 Life Forever ( www.fitforlifeforever.org ) and writes regular nutrition based articles for the Fit For Life website.
In addition she delivers regular courses to groups in her local community to help people come to terms with their weight related problems and overcome them, especially in the areas of nutrition, cooking, diet and lifestyle elements associated with good health.
Julie is a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT). As a registered BANT member Julie is governed by their strict code of ethics and their requirements for continued professional development.
Julie is a member of the The NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners www.nhsdirectory.org compiled and managed only for use by NHS healthcare professionals
Julie is registered as an approved practitioner with Weight Aware UK is a web-based search directory to specialise in the treatment and ongoing prevention of childhood obesity.
Originally from Kent, England Julie, who is a committed Christian, has lived near Cardiff in South Wales for the last 11 years. She is married and has 3 children of her own and 2 adopted siblings plus two cats! She enjoys hiking, a variety of sports activities, cinema, reading and cross stitch
