No hypnotherapist or psychotherapist is legally allowed to advertise any treatment for ailments which may have a medical origin - headaches, skim problems, insomnia and eating disorders amongst them. Although it is often ignored, this law is to protect you from the possibility that, while you are receiving therapy, an illness, which may need orthodox medical attention, could be getting worse. This does not mean that hypnotherapy cannot be of help in such conditions. It can and frequently does provide truly startling relief from the symptoms, which is why the law exists. For that reason , you will find no list of treatable ailments in this brochure, but you may rest assured that you will receive sympathetic, expert help and advice, whatever your presenting problem. Permission from your G.P may be required with some presenting conditions.
The Amazing power of the mind. My first encounter with Hypnotherapy was when i was 16 years old. I had several operations on my eyes. Due to scar tissue on the muscles behind my eyes i was left with constant headaches. The solution was to have the muscles of behind my eyes relax. Lucky for me my surgeon had studied clinical hypnotherapy and after a couple of sessions i was fine.
The Clinic Offers The Following Range Of Therapies
Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis itself is unlikely to provide a relief of symptoms, whatever those symptoms might be. It is the therapy - hypnotherapy - which is carried out within the hypnotised state that is important. It takes two entirely different forms.
About Hypnosis
There are many fears and misunderstandings about the use of hypnosis, and the myths and mystery that surround it are totally undeserved. This leaflet will re - assure you that what happens is very normal, certainly non magical, with generally predictable results.
Hypnosis is induced by the use of the therapist's voice, though you are unlikely to actually feel hypnotised. There is no such thing as hypnotised feeling, though many people find their senses to be far more alert than usual. You will not lose control at any time, nor can you be manipulated in any way. There is no form of unconsciousness and nobody can be made to do anything they do not want to do. A person in hypnosis is aware of everything happening around them, aware of themselves, and will retain full acurate memory of everything afterwards.
Hypnosis, a totally natural phenomenon, is simply a very comfortable and relaxed state during which it is quite easy to converse sensibly with the therapist. Almost anyone can enter the hypnotic state easily, with the expectations of the truly mentally subnormal, very young children, and nobody under the influence of hard drugs or very large quantities of alcohol. It is inconceivable that any harm could befall anybody in this pleasant state.
This is a reliable and safe therapeutic technique which is centuries old and is recognised by many branches of orthodox medicine as a valuable alternative to drugs, to accelerate healing, and to help combat pain. Whilst not a panacea for all ills, hypnotherapy can be effective treatment method for a great many problems where psychological factors are involved.
Reflexology
Reflexology dates back approximately 5,000 years to Ancient Egypt, India and china.
It is a non-invasive, natural and relaxing therapy which can treat both the body and mind to restore an equal balance. this is achieved through specific pressure being applied to the 7,000 nerve endings on the soles of the feet. It was discovered that tension and congestion on the feet are mirrored to the corresponding structure and organs of the body.
Face & Body Lifting
Medical Research confirms that the ageing process stems from cell degenration.
The body is made of trillions of electricity charged cells which continously breakdown and make more cells. This regeneration process peaks at the age of 35, thereafter it slows down resulting in loss of muscle tone and wrinkles.
The most natural way to stay young is to embrace the way the body was designed to function. The Stay Young treatment is all you need in a modern salon, it has been designed by medical researchers to activate and imitate the body's natural cell regeneration process.
The treatment increases collagen production, drains harmful toxins, reduces wrinkles and tones muscles by helping the body to help itself.
Stay Young specially formulated products contain fresh royal jelly, collagen and aloe vera to feed and nourish the skin during treatment.
A course of treatment can take a few years off a client, thereafter a monthly maintenance treatment will ensure that the body continues to function at optimum level and delays the ageing process.
Reiki
Reiki has been taught in the West since the 1970s, and it has been presented rather like an oriental version of spiritual healing, though in its original Japanese form the emphasis was very much on self-healing and spiritual development. Certainly the practice of Reiki is based on working with, and channelling energy, or a spiritual energy. This energy can be referred to as ‘chi’, which you may have heard of. When you visit an acupuncturist they use needles to encourage energy to flow through a series of meridians or energy channels that run the length of your body; that energy is called ‘chi’.
