Miriam Rubino is a Yoga Therapist and Doula with more than 15 years of experience.
Miriam Rubino began her early training with Psychology and Shiatsu in Buenos Aires. During her teens yoga was just a personal practice for her. Once University studies had finished, an urgency to dedicate herself completely to yoga emerged and then she obtained her first certificate in Sivananda yoga. After a few years of practice and teaching traditional yoga, she was deeply impressed by the Iyengar System, so she moved to London to take the teaching course. This was followed by years of classes, courses, workshops and yoga holidays in various European countries and Pune, India. BKS Iyengar’s therapeutic classes in Pune inspired and deeply motivated Miriam, so the need for a caring and subtle work with those more the vulnerable manifested. Then she initiated her Yoga Therapy studies in London, specialising on Respiratory Conditions, Lower Back Pain, Pregnancy and Postnatal work. The latter captured her attention and interest in childbirth so she decided to become a Doula (Birth companion) with the precursor of the labour in the water, Dr Michel Odent and his colleague in London Liliana Lammers.
Nowadays Miriam maintains a holistic approach, including in her Therapy and Doula work and alternative remedies like Flowers of Bach, Homeopathic and dietary recommendations.
Her teaching style is known by its clarity, care and sensitivity, it easily adapts to the person’s needs making it easier to improve at their own pace.
