Our fully qualified practioners have undergone a rigorous four year full time training that, actually allows the Osteopath to make diagnosis before embarking on a course of treatment.
By law Osteopaths must be registered with the General Osteopathic Coundcil, a statutory body designed to carry out rigorous checks to ensure patients have the same safegaurds as when they consult a Doctor or Dentist.
The clinic was first opened in the Tyne Valley by Dr. John Gelson in 1975. We have now been in Corbridge since 1994 where the clinic is run by Mr. Chris Gelson. As well as Mr.Gelson our full time Osteopath, we have on a part time basis Dr. John Gelson, Mr Andrew Chrichton, Mr. Martin Grundy and Ann Kowalczyk (remedial massage).
The clinic has expanded in recent years to include other complimentary therapies. Currently we have Mr. Michael P. Cummins who is a Podiatrist & State Registered Chiropodist & Miss Joan Macbeth who offers Remedial massage & Reflexology.
