My name is Tim, I have a science background. I have been interested in massage for more than 20 years now but I only went to a formal training course in 2004 to get a formal qualification. I first had a teacher 100% passionate about massage and about practice. She encouraged me to research and to read as much as I could about theory. She also directed me to books for and against holistic therapies.
This encouraged me to look critically to alternative medicine to marvel at what I can see working and to be neutral or reserved when it was harder to understand. My other area of interests are computer science and chinese medicine. I enjoy playing baroque and jazz violin but I now have less time to practice.
I am a qualified massage therapist with a VTCT level 3 certificate in swedish massage therapy and a Diploma in Hot Stone Massage. I practice massage in Altrincham, South Manchester. This is conveniently located for clients in Hale, Timperley, Bowdon and Sale, Cheshire.
I also hold a Phd in a science discipline and I like to understand what I do and to explain as much as I can when my clients ask for explanations about the techniques that I use with them
