Swedish Massage
Swedish massage uses five styles of long, flowing strokes to massage. The five basic strokes are effleurage (sliding or gliding), petrissage (kneading), tapotement (rhythmic tapping), friction (cross fiber) and vibration/shaking. Swedish massage has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness, and improving function in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee over a period of eight weeks.The term "Swedish" massage is actually only recognized in English and Dutch speaking countries, and in Hungary. Elsewhere (including Sweden) the style is referred to as "classic massage".

Indian Head Massage
Champissage also known as an Indian head massage is a trademarked term for an alternative medicine massage therapy. In champissage, the head, neck and face are massaged with the purpose of manipulating energy channels. The goal is to clear blocks in these energy channels that cause a build-up of negative energy that are purported to cause ailments. The belief is when the energy does not flow properly, negative energy builds up, causing common ailments, including stress, pain and aches, also baldness or hair loss. Champissage is practiced all over Europe.

Thai Body Massage
Thai massage is a system of massage and assisted stretching developed in Thailand, and influenced by the traditional medicine systems across South East Asia.
This form of bodywork is performed on the floor, and the client wears comfortable clothes that allow for movement. No oils are used in this style of Thai massage.
Thai massage – or Nuat Thai - is unique among massage therapies in combining both physical and energetic aspects. It is a deep, full-body massage and focusing on sen or energy lines throughout the body, with the aim of clearing blockages in these lines, and thus stimulating the flow of blood and lymph throughout the body. By the end, one feels both relaxed and energized, and typically without pain.

Thai Foot Massage
A Thai version of something everyone loves. As well as massaging the foot and lower leg. firm but gentle pressure is applied to sen points on the feet using both hands and a special rod to stimulate the proper functioning of the organs. This is a healing massage but it still feels great. The T F M ( Thai Foot Massage) that's practised today is a distinctly Thai healing therapy. T F M is based on the belief that there are zones and reflex areas in the feet which correspond to all glands, organs, senses and systems of the body. The act of reading signs on the feet, of understanding the client as much as possible, and of applying pressure through specialized combinations of pressure is the art at the foundation of this 2,000-year old massage technique.

Sports Massage
Also known as manual therapy, manipulative therapy, or manual & manipulative therapy, this is a physical treatment primarily used on the neuromusculoskeletal system to treat pain and disability. It most commonly includes kneading and manipulation of muscles, joint mobilization and joint manipulation, manual & manipulative therapy is a physical treatment primarily used by physiotherapists, occupational therapists, chiropractors, and osteopaths to treat musculoskeletal pain and disability.

Deep Tissue
Deep tissue massage (DTM) is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue. DTM is often recommended for people who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity, and patients who have sustained physical injury. It is not uncommon for receivers of DTM to have their pain replaced with a new muscle ache for a day or two.
DTM is often quite intense as a result of the deliberate, focused work. When a client asks for a massage and uses the term “deep tissue”, more often than not he or she is seeking to receive a full-body session with sustained deep pressure throughout.

Holistic
Holistic massage is an ancient method of healing that clears the lymphatic drainage system and releases toxins from the body. By recognizing that illness and stress affects not only our physical but also our emotional, spiritual and mental well-being, holistic massage allows the body's natural healing abilities to come forth and balance the entire body as a whole. The term 'holistic' is taken from the Greek word 'holos' meaning whole. The holistic approach aims to restore balance within the body, taking into account the person's whole being not just their physical symptoms or ailments.

Lymphatic
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is used to gently work and stimulate the lymphatic system, to assist in reduction of localized swelling. The lymphatic system is a network of slow moving vessels in the body that is responsible for the removal of cellular waste and toxic microbes from the body. The MLD is believed to help in detoxification of the body and in stimulating the body's immune system. MLD uses a specific amount of pressure (less than 9 ounces per square inch) and rhythmic circular movements to stimulate lymph flow.
