Remedial and orthopaedic massage are a natural and subtle way to treat the body's aches and pains.
Hands on therapies are one of the oldest forms of medicine known to man and were used in ancient Greek, Roman and Chinese civilisations. The word massage comes from the Greek word "massein", meaning to knead.
Remedial & orthopaedic massage is a natural and subtle way to treat the body's aches and pains. The therapist gently works deep into the muscle which encourages the body's own healing power and ability to repair.
Remedial massage can help a number of complaints including: - Poor circulation
- Arthritis and rheumatism. These we cannot cure, but can certainly ease the pain and increase mobility thus improving quality of life.
- Back pain and neck tension
- Stress relief and relaxation
- Sports injury
- Repetitive strain injury
- Sprains and strains
On your first visit, a preliminary talk with your practitioner will enable them to decide on the best course of treatment for you. This may be one or two sessions for a specific injury, or a longer programme for chronic or progressive ailments. Prices per treatment vary from £30 to £40 dependent upon which practitioner you are seeing.
Appointments last for 45 minutes. Daytime and evening appointments are available. 24 hours' notice of cancellation is required for us to be able to offer the time to someone else. Cancellations less than 24 hours' notice will incur payment of the full fee.
