There is no one therapy that is the answer for everyone - better results are usually obtained by using a combination which can then be individualised to suit your own unique requirements.
SERVICES
Welcome to Amitola Natural Health
People are becoming increasingly interested in finding natural ways of looking after their health. What could be better than going back to basics: addressing what you actually put into your body?
Natural holistic therapies look at the whole person, rather than focusing on individual symptoms, and aim to change an unbalanced state into one of balance and harmony, which can then allow your body to return itself to good health. They are also complementary, which means that they are safe to work alongside orthodox medical treatments. By raising awareness of the impact of diet and lifestyle on any problems that you may be experiencing, you are then empowered to take control of your own health.
There is no one therapy that is the answer for everyone - better results are usually obtained by using a combination which can then be individualised to suit your own unique requirements.
I offer a mobile service within a 20 mile radius of Haslemere (Surrey) and cover the surrounding regions including Hindhead, Grayshott, Farnham, Godalming, Guildford, Liphook, Petersfield, Midhurst and Petworth. However, I am happy to travel further afield for group bookings or by negotiation.
If you would like further information or wish to discuss how these therapies could work for you, please e-mail me at kim@amitolahealth.com or telephone me on 07990 771360.
Curriculum Vitae
As "Amitola" means "rainbow" in Native American and is a symbol of balance with all the colours in perfect harmony, so the body may potentially be brought back into balance by using natural therapies.
I became interested in nutrition when I discovered that a skin condition for which I had been receiving medical treatment responded better to changes in my diet than to the harsh creams that had been prescribed. I looked into the dietary aspect a little further and started to realise just how many different health problems could respond to something as simple as food choices.
I spent three years studying under Jackie Day (Naturopath) through the Natural Healthcare College, during which time I completed three Nutritional Therapy diplomas. During this time I became interested in a wider range of natural therapies and so also studied diplomas in Iridology and Herbal Advice through the same college. To gain full qualification I undertook lengthy clinical practice in both Nutritional Therapy and Iridology.
My studies are ongoing and, as well as working towards gaining Naturopath status, I have completed relevant science courses offered by the Open University. I also attend seminars and read relevant books and publications whenever possible.
I am a full member of:- British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT)
- Guild of Naturopathic Iridologists International
- Federation for Natural Therapy Practitioners
- Association of Holistic Nutritional Practitioners
...and I support the work of the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council and their work in unifying and regulating complementary therapies and am working towards acceptance onto their register.
I am passionate about my chosen subjects and am committed to providing the best possible service to my clients, as well as keeping up-to-date on developments within the natural health arena.
