SERVICES
Welcome to Adept
We offer a range of services aimed at helping those who battle with substance misuse, primarily alcohol and drugs.
Today's society has seen an increase in alcoholism and drug addiction, coupled with a lack of services and awareness / understanding of the illness.
In response, ADEPT was formed by recovering alcoholics and drug addicts who have : a) been a long time clean and sober - and b) trained, or are training, to become professionally qualified in this area of work.
Please use the tabs along the top of the page to find out more about ADEPT and the help we can offer. Thanks for visiting.
For Professionals
A series of all day workshops to help those currently working within professional services, not merely to relay current information and knowledge, but more importantly, to gain some insight and understanding of the alcoholic and addictive nature.
Adept workshops look at the underlying causes of addiction and consequent responses such as co-dependency, denial and avoidance, thus increasing the professional's ability to deliver a quailty service.
Group Therapy
Group therapy work for those who are willing to take part in an open-ended and flexible treatment programme that takes into account the fact that everyone is at different stages of development.
Group therapy will help the client/user to come to terms with the feelings they have around issues in their lives.
The objective of the group is to arrive at coping mechanisms that will allow each individual to come to terms with their respective problems on a daily basis, facing up to life on life's terms.
Counselling
Adept provides "one to one" counselling for those who feel that either they are not ready for group therapy or that it is not for them.
The service requires that the user is willing to focus on, and address, situations that have happened in their lives.
This "willingness" can be as simple as the desire to be free from the need for alcohol and/or drugs as a means of avoidance.
