The beginning:
I was born in the town of North Queensferry in Fifeshire Scotland, on Wednesday the 16th of April 1941. We then moved, while I was a toddler, to the town of Rosyth. I had an average upbringing for the time, there was a world war on, and things were tight all round for everyone. But I had a lot of fun growing up. People were much friendlier then. I had a typical Scottish education and was never the brightest bulb in the class, but I got through. My first job was as a rivet boy in the local naval dockyard, my job entailed passing the white hot rivets to the riveter. I somehow managed to get accepted to serve an apprenticeship in the local Air Naval yard at Donibristle - now Dalgetty bay- but I only lasted a year. Bill Haley and Elvis came out and from that moment my life was on a slope to disaster.
What happened to Sandy Donaghy:
I experienced Hell on earth from prisons, suicide attempts, homelessness, failed relationships, spiritual and financial bankruptcy. I eventually ended up in Plymouth in Devon. I am so grateful to Plymouth. it was here in 1985 that I reached my most desperate condition. I was a homeless alcoholic tramp.
What my life is like Today:
My life today is absolutely fabulous, beyond my wildest dreams. I moved five years ago to a bungalow in Newton Abbot. It was there that I came across the new spirituality. I also wrote my first book. I can honestly say today that I am finally at peace with me and with the World. That is just a great feeling. The good news is that you too can experience a life changing transformation. In September 1985, I was a homeless down and out living on the streets of Plymouth, Devon. I thought that my life was over. There was no escape for me, I could see no way out of my predicament. I use incidents in my life to assist you in yours. The feedback that I have received from around the world has been very humbling and also exciting for me. All the trials and tribulations I have been through in my life have in fact been gifts from the universe. For without those experiences I could in no way write this book.
