We have been a provider of Pre-Retirement Planning seminars in Cambridgeshire for ten years, at venues in Peterborough and Cambridge. Our client base includes most of the local authorities, Health Trusts, RAF establishments, Environmental Agency, Passport Agency, RNIB, Cambridge University Press, and several other large companies.
Our two-day seminars are 'open' courses, that is, the participants, usual number 12 - 16, and are drawn from several employers. We especially welcome partners, making a reduction in fees to encourage attendance.
Our courses usually follow a similar format to the sample programme you can see on this site, but we are always willing to discuss individuals or companies specific requirements and tailor our courses to those needs
Most of our speakers are willing to stay after their presentation for private individual advice over coffee or lunch periods.
We carefully select the environment; venue accommodation and quality of refreshments to accommodate this opportunity and take every care to ensure participants feel comfortable to express their hopes aspirations and trepidation's about the transition from work to leisure.
About us
Dr Alan Dowson, the course facilitator, has over twenty years' experience of organising and speaking on Pre-Retirement seminars. Initially for the local authority, and then for ADA. He is a professional member of the Pre-Retirement Association of Great Britain, a government supported organisation. He holds the PRA qualification as a tutor as well as several academic qualifications.
All of our tutors have had experience of presenting their subjects for several years with ADA. They have been chosen for their knowledge of their subject, and their ability to present it in a clear and precise manner. All of them are well qualified within their professions and are experienced presenters.
The Nutritional health Practitioner, based at a practice in Peterborough. She has been the Health tutor on the seminars for seven years.
The Health psychologist, holds several qualifications in his field, both professional and academic. He is an experienced speaker, writer, and touring lecturer in his subject.
The Independent Financial consultant, has been our financial tutor for ten years. She is a professional member of the Financial Services Authority.
Our speaker on legal issues, is a qualified solicitor specialising in the field of probate, wills and powers of attorney, working for a firm of solicitors in the Peterborough area.
Our Tax speaker, works for a local accountancy firm, and is one of its appointed speakers upon issues of taxation.
The State Pension advisor, was formally a member of the Benefits Agency team of advisors. She is now a full-time independent advisor. She has an in-depth knowledge of the Benefit Agency rights and entitlements.
