Professional. Babybond scans are carried out by Sonographers¹ - the most experienced of ultrasound health care professionals. Estimates show that 90% of all pregnancy scans are carried out by Sonographers in the UK and it is no coincidence that Babybond continues to be successfully managed by such people.
Established 1998. Jan and Mike Steward, both ultrasound professionals, pioneered the self-referred Ultrasound Bonding Scan as a service for nurturing positive emotions between the 20 week hospital scan and birth. As both parents and entrepreneurs, they founded Babybond with a vision to offer more choice and easier access to safe ultrasound services for pregnant families at convenient times.
The experience of the Board of Directors has been significantly enhanced with the addition of two new members in April 2008; Mr. Kevin Harrington FRCOG (RCOG) and Mr. Mike Piper. Kevin has been practicing Obstetrics both in NHS and Private practice since 1986 having published scientific papers and co-authored many books on the subject of medical ultrasound applied to obstetrics . A former Director of 3i plc, Mike Piper has over 25 years experience in business development. He currently helps managing a private GP health care practice in the Midlands as well as assisting high growth companies in their development.
The Board continue to develop new, innovative ultrasound scan services for Babybond clients.
