Treatment approach

Pelvic Connections Physiotherapy uses a musculoskeletal, myofascial and viscerofascial approach to treatment. Simply put, we recognise that everything in the body is connected. Our approach is initially to treat joints, muscles and connective tissue to normalise the body so that it can function the way it was designed to.

This approach is particularly relevant to the pelvis. Regardless of whether you have pelvic pain or incontinence, we will spend time assessing the pelvis, and by gentle physiotherapy techniques, we can facilitate the body to realign itself. This leads to better bladder function and a reduction in joint aches and pains.

Each treatment is tailor-made to your specific needs, and in order to carry it out successfully, treatment time can take up to one hour.

The frequency of treatments is fortnightly or even monthly. This allows time for the body to adapt to its new position and also allows time for the pelvic floor muscles to develop.

If you would like an informal chat with Debbie, please do not hesitate to contact by phone or email.
