Although specialising in horses I also treat small animals and humans which means you can be treated at the same time as your horse to ensure neither one of you is 'unbalancing' the other. I offer a mobile service throughout Cornwall for all the treatments that I practice.
SERVICES
Welcome to Equine Human Therapy
We all suffer from aches and pains at some point in our lives, and our animals are no different. So often people think their horses are suffering from behavioural problems, when really they are desperately trying to tell us that they hurt somewhere. Horses are amazing creatures who are very good at 'compensating' for the pain they are experiencing, so they carry on and do what we ask. It is our responsibility as owners and riders to listen to our horses and give them a little bit of a helping hand when they need it!
Although specialising in horses I also treat small animals and humans which means you can be treated at the same time as your horse to ensure neither one of you is 'unbalancing' the other. I offer a mobile service throughout Cornwall for all the treatments that I practice.
I am currently the only qualified practitioner working in Cornwall to offer a unique combination of McTimoney Corley Animal Spinal Therapy and Equine Touch Soft Tissue Bodywork, meaning the entire musculo-skeletal system of the horse can be treated. I am also currently the only VHT practitioner working in Cornwall. VHT is the human form of the Equine Touch, and works on the soft tissues of the body in order to rebalance and aid healing.
I believe in a gentle, non-invasive approach to any kind of healthcare and as a result both you and your horse will find my treatments very relaxing and enjoyable, as well as beneficial in dealing with a huge range of conditions and disorders.
About Me
I currently live in Falmouth, Cornwall with my partner and our animals, and offer a mobile service throughout the County, treating both animals and people. I am extrememly passionate about what I do, and feel lucky to have a job that I love - though it is not always easy!
Early Days
Having grown up in Cornwall, I was always surrounded by animals, and spent the majority of my childhood rescuing strays and injured animals from wherever I found them! I was always extremely drawn to animals (more so than I was to a lot of people!) and I always knew that I wanted to work with them, preferably in a capacity that meant helping them.
When I was younger I helped out at riding stables and with other peoples horses in exchange for free rides, and I often competed other peoples horses, in all disciplines. When I was twelve I was lucky enough to get my own horse and so my knowledge and commitment only grew from there. I started volunteering in my local vets, where I spent 4 years, before going away to University in Bristol.
