Welcome
My name is Christina Faruki and I am so pleased you have taken the time to come to my website. As a qualified accredited counsellor and psychotherapist I have a number of years experience in the private, and volunteer sector, including working with clients with Asperger’s Syndrome and their families. I also work in doctors’ surgeries and as a school’s counsellor.
I am guided by the needs of you as the client, enabling you to explore in a safe and confidential setting what is troubling you.
When life is busy we often don’t find the time to take care of ourselves. We let life drift by without noticing what’s going on for us. Suddenly, something happens which brings it to our awareness and we feel overwhelmed.
I believe an honest and genuine counselling relationship is a chance to work together on these issues. I won’t deny counselling is hard work, but it is possible to integrate our experiences and live life to its’ full potential.
What I Can Offer
I can offer a safe and non-judgemental place where you can talk about what is worrying you - issues you can’t talk to anyone else about, no matter how close they may be.
Counselling is a chance to work quietly without interruptions at a pace that suits you. I will always respect your values and the coping skills that have helped you in the past.
The first session is free, as it is a chance for us to decide if counselling is what you want and if we can work together. We can discuss what is troubling you, as well as boundaries of confidentiality in counselling. If at the end you don’t want to continue that’s not a problem. If you decide to continue I will take a short history.
