Welcome to Chinese Medical Centre
Chinese Medical & Skin Centre was established in 1997 by two senior consultants from Tianjin, China's third largest city. Since then, the centre has set up 8 clinics in the North West and as treated over 20,000 patients, many successfully. The centre has also been invilved in various educational projects and has gained a reputation as one of the best providers of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the Northwest.
All our practitioners are fully qualiied in both western medicine and TCM and all have worked as senior consultants in Eminent teaching/research hospitals in China before coming to Britain. They treat a wide range of medical conditions using lose herbs, herbal granuals and capsuals, acupuncture, massage and moxibustion. For skin disorders an exclusive range of over 20 granular prescriptions imported from China.
A treatment plan will be discussed at the initial consultation, giving you an estimation of the likely length of treatment. Generally a patient will be required initially to visit the clinic on a weekly basis. Once the condition has stabilised and is improving, fortnightly then monthly visits can be arranged for patients taking herbal treatment. For acupuncture and massage twice weekly visits may be necessary initially.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
Has a history of over 4000 years and is an integral part of China's national health service. In China, TCM is taught in medical schools and practiced in hospitals alongside Western medicine by medically trained doctors.
The central logic of TCM, represented by the Yin-Yang symbol familiar to many westerners, is that a part can be understood only in its relation to the whole: any illness affecting a particular part of the body indicates an imbalance within the whole body and often a disharmony between the body and it's physical and social environment.
The principles of treatment are to balance Yin and Yang and harmonise the functions of different internal organs TCM puts emphasis on treating the patient holistically and as a unique individual. It deals with the symptoms as well as the root of the problem whether it is diet, lifestyle, infection, injury or weakened immune system.
How can acupuncture and Chinese herb medicine help infertility?
Chinese medical and skin centre Acupuncture (from Lat. Acus, “needle” (noun) and pungere, “prick” (verb) is a technique of inserting and manipulating filiform needles into acupuncture points on the body.. Based on the archaeological evidence, it is believed that the earliest precedents of acupuncture dated back as 1000 BC.
Treats the human body as a whole that involves the system of meridians and collaterals. They are pathways that carry qi (viatl energy produced “chee”), blood and body fluid around the body. All the internal organs, apertures, skin and hair, tendons and muscles, bones and other tissue in the human body rely on the communication through the meridians, to form an integrated and unified organism. Practitioners will choose a combination of points to achieve the desired effect. The choice is guided by long standing formulae, modified to suit each individual problem.
