Sue is a humanistic & integrative psychotherapist and counsellor with over 13 years' experience working with individuals, couples and groups. Issues I work with include: depression, low self-esteem, anger management, childlessness, lack of direction, life transitions, loss and bereavement.
SERVICES Barnhill is a humanistic psychotherapy and counselling service set up by Sue Crofton in 2001, based in Wembley Park.
I also see people at Finsbury Park. Both venues are easily accessible by public transport and parking is available.
I am a humanistic and integrative psychotherapist. After completing trainings in psychotherapy and counselling at Spectrum in 1998, I was accredited in 2000 and registered with the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) in 2001. I work to the UKCP Code of Ethics.
Some of the issues I work with include anxiety, depression, anger management, low self esteem, stress, relationships, compulsive behaviour, eating disorders, poor sleep, feeling isolated, lack of purpose, and emotional problems at work.
I run groups on breaking free from emotional eating; childlessness; and organisation skills.
I work with individuals, couples, and groups as well as providing work-related counselling and support. Employee counselling can also be provided in the workplace if the client is comfortable with such an arrangement.
I am in continuing professional development. This includes regular supervision and therapy. My experience includes counselling in an NHS general practice, the Domestic Violence Intervention Project and Victim Support.
My background is in human resource management and training.
Prior to training as a psychotherapist I lived and worked in Germany as a technical translator and interpreter.
