Bringing Balance and Harmony to Life!
SERVICES
Welcome to Infinity Yoga
Michelle is a fully qualified British Wheel of Yoga Teacher working in Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
Children
Prior to training to be a yoga teacher, Michelle spent many years working as a nanny and has deep understanding, compassion and empathy with children, which is why her classes are such a huge hit with children from the age of four years all the way up to teenagers. With the younger age groups, the children learn postures that are weaved in to stories which are then presented to the school in a thought-provoking assembly. Only children that want to perform in the assembly take part, but invariably they are all very keen to demonstrate their new found skills to their friends. The classes are fun, informative and structured in a way that the children are building strong foundations in life by increasing their self confidence and self esteem. Michelle maintains that:-
“In order to be fully effective and to live a happy, fulfilled life, everyone needs strong firm foundations with plenty of self confidence and self esteem. Yoga teaches children not only physical postures to stretch their bodies, but also mental and emotional grounding which gives them a firm anchor in the sea of change which is everyday life.”
Adults
Working with adults on a one to one basis presents an opportunity to work in such a way that individual needs can be met and specific areas are focused upon. It’s a fantastic way to really progress in the yoga practise due to it being a very concentrated tailored session. Yoga classes present huge benefit to the overall wellbeing of an individual but one to one work offers far more depth and understanding which initiates advancement at a pace that is suitable for the individual.
Mature Students
Michelle also teaches Age Concern and Healthy Lifestyle classes to senior citizens which is organised by Age Concern and Sevenoaks District Council. The classes work primarily with joint mobilisation but also incorporate breath work, gentle stretches, emotional grounding and most of all, FUN. The majority of the work is carried out seated in a chair although some standing work is an option for the more able bodied. At the end of the sessions, an uplifting thought provoking reading is read out to the class and a hand out given as a positive reminder. The students attending these classes enjoy the personal touch that Michelle provides in a caring, understanding and compassionate manner.
