I am a qualified Chiropodist/Podiatrist, trained by the SMAI Institute.
I am registered with the British Chiropody & Podiatry Association and the Health Professions Council. The latter being the Government’s official register of health professionals, my registration number is CH18675.
I am a mobile Chiropodist/Podiatrist providing convenient treatment in the privacy and comfort of your own home or office. Please see my list of locations covered.
Treatments last for approximately 40 minutes. All steel instruments used are either disposable (new for each patient) or sterilised by autoclave. I wear disposable gloves during treatment and all surfaces are cleansed with a disinfectant solution between patients.
I offer treatment for foot problems such as:
Corns:
Corns are pared using a sterile, disposable scalpel blade and paddings applied if necessary.
Callous/hard skin:
Callous and hard skin are pared using a sterile, disposable scalpel blade and/or a foot file.
Verruca:
Verruca are pared using a sterile, disposable scalpel blade. A topical treatment may be applied or recommended.
Ingrowing Toe Nails:
Using a probe the offending spike or nail is identified and removed with a fine nail nippers. Any remaining sharp edges are filed away.
Skin and Nail Infections (eg Athletes Foot)
Skin and nail infections can be identified and topical treatments advised.
Thick, Discoloured Toe Nails
Thick nails are reduced by a drill making them easier to cut and greatly improve their appearance.
Bunions
Advice on footwear and exercises can be given to help alleviate the discomfort.
General nail trim and foot maintenance and advice.
Nails are trimmed and filed using sterilised instruments.
