SERVICES
I teach classes in and around Cheltenham. Some of those classes are run through Gloucester College. All classes are suitable for any age or ability.

You may have done some Yoga before, or you may be a complete beginner. I hope you enjoy the class and I have put some information together to help you to get the most out of it.

The class is made up of stretching and warming up, Asanas, or postures, breathing and relaxation. There is always an emphasis on breathing throughout the session as this is an important part of yoga.

Please let me know of any medical problems, so that we can discuss any modifications of postures. If your state of health changes in any way, again, please let me know, so that I can modify postures to be appropriate for you.

You will need to wear comfortable clothing, and bring along a non slip mat to work on and a blanket or warm clothing for relaxation, as the body cools down during this time. Blocks are also useful and I can provide these.
It is best to avoid eating a heavy meal at least two hours before practice, and at first you may want to make time to relax afterwards.

It is very rewarding to practice yoga in between classes if you can (remembering to warm up properly), but not essential.
Most of all, remember that yoga is non competitive. It’s all about being aware of yourself, physically, emotionally and mentally, working with your own strengths and limitations, finding the quiet space within, and enjoyment!

QUALIFICATION DETAILS
I am a Teacher qualified through the British Wheel of Yoga. I hold a current First Aid certificate and am currently studying for a Diploma in Teaching.
