Conditions Treated
Some of the conditions treated at A.K Sports Injury Clinic include (but are not limited to):- Joint sprains, e.g. sprained ankles and wrists.
- Muscle strains, e.g. pulled hamstring, calf or groin.
- Overuse injuries e.g. R.S.I, tendonitis and bursitis.
- Back pain and trapped nerves, e.g. Lower Back Pain, stiff neck and sciatica.
- Whiplash injuries, e.g. muscle, joint or nerve pain following a road traffic accident.
- Wear and tear injuries/joint pain, e.g. osteoarthritis, cartilage problems, frozen shoulder.
- Post-surgical, e.g. rehabilitation after orthopaedic surgery.
- Post-traumatic, e.g. rehabilitation after fractures.
Although sports-related injuries are of particular interest at this clinic, we also deal with non-sports related musculoskeletal injuries. For example, we treat many occupation-related injuries, such as repetitive strain injury in factory workers, joint and muscle pain in manual workers and posture-related pain in office workers.
Similarly, many of the injuries above can occur during everyday life, not just during sport and exercise, e.g., a sprained ankle can be caused by stepping down a kerb awkwardly or by landing on an opponent’s foot whilst playing sport. Therefore, no matter what the cause of the injury, we are able to help speed up your recovery.
