Welcome to Healing Treatments
Healing Treatments offers a variety of complementary therapies for a wide range of health problems including allergy, asthma, IBS, pain and stiffness and physical or emotional stress to people in the Aberystwyth area.
All the treatments are completely non-invasive and very relaxing. They are aimed at promoting the body's natural ability to heal itself by bringing it into perfect balance.
This may involve holding acupuncture points, using homeopathically prepared desensitising drops, crystals, magnets or simply laying on of hands.
Each therapy can be safely used for babies and small children as well as elderly, frail and disabled clients.
Common problems such as hayfever, Candida, IBS, and food and chemical allergies can be treated (see subsections under the main "allergy" heading)
Allergy testing, Allergy Treatment, Reiki, Reconnective Healing and Health Kinesiology may be given alone or in combination in a way which gives maximum benefit to the patient.
QUALIFICATION DETAILS
I graduated in 1972 with 2.1 Hons BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Wales, and spent 14 years doing research on plant virus diseases and immunology, submitting my PhD in 1977.
I studied with the Open University and obtained a Diploma in Music in 2001 and a 2.1 Hons BA in 2002
I retired in 2004 and became interested in Complementary Medicine.
I completed the Diploma “The Identification and Treatment of Allergic Disorders” with the British Institute for Allergy and Environmental Therapy in 2006 and I am now their Course Co-ordinator as well as running my own practice.
I qualified in Health Kinesiology in 2007 and am a Reiki Master Practitioner and have completed levels 1 and 2 Reconnective Healing.
I have also studied Touch for Health and hold Certificates in Basic Counselling, Nutritional Therapy and Basic Quantum Touch. I am a member of the British Institute for Allergy and Environmental Therapy, the British Complementary Medicine Association, the Kinesiology Federation, the Reiki Federation and Health Kinesiology UK.
I live in beautiful countryside in Mid Wales with my husband. I work from home and have a beautiful light and airy practice room, which people say they feel very relaxed in. I like to think that I am able to combine these therapies for the benefit of the patient, because everyone needs something different, there is no such thing as “one size fits all” in Complementary Medicine.
Because of my scientific training, it is in my nature to question everything, but I have to admit, that in learning these therapies, I have been amazed by things which I just cannot explain. Come along and be amazed too!
