What is Reflexology?
Reflexology can trace its origins back to ancient Egyptian and Chinese cultures when massage and pressure were used on the feet to treat the whole body. In the mid 20th century these techniques were developed into the reflexology we practice today. The objective of reflexology is to apply pressure to the different reflex areas of the feet to bring about a balancing effect on the corresponding organs and systems of the body. By promoting relaxation and easing tensions, blockages can be cleared bringing the body into balance through the stimulation of its own healing process, thus improving the general well-being of the individual.
A treatment will typically last 1 hour, with the first treatment taking slightly longer to enable a consultation prior to treatment. Reflexology is a non-invasive, relaxing treatment. Price: £25.00.
What is Indian Head Massage?
Indian Head Massage has evolved from the ancient Indian Ayurvedic healing technique and traditional rituals of Indian family life into the technique we use today. Whilst originally only including the head and hair, the treatment now includes face, neck, shoulders and upper arms. By focusing on these key areas where stress and tension is particularly felt, the whole body can benefit. It is a relaxing treatment that is often chosen as the effects can be felt quickly and is convenient with no need to undress.
A treatment will typically last 45 minutes, with the first treatment taking slightly longer to enable a consultation prior to treatment. Indian Head Massage is a non-invasive, relaxing treatment that can be performed with or without oils or balms. Price: £20.00.
