Welcome to Canarywharf Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a profession which specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions which are due to mechanical dysfunctions of the joints, and their effects on the nervous system.
Chiropractors use their hands to adjust the joints of your spine and other parts of the body where signs of restriction of movement are found. This improves mobility and relieves pain. Your bodies own healing process, (which we normally recognise in its ability to heal bruises, cuts and broken bones) will then be able to get on with the task of improving your health. The treatment is known as an 'adjustment' or manipulation.
What do chiropractors treat?
Today's Chiropractors treat many thousand of patients each week for a variety of conditions affecting all parts of the body. They support their treatment with advice on work, diet and exercise.
What to Expect
On your first visit, your chiropractor will take you details, and then take a complete medical history together with information about your current condition in order to establish an overall picture of your health. A comprehensive examination then will be done, concentrating on the neuro-muscular system. The examination will incorporate a postural analysis, standard orthopaedic and neurological tests and bio mechanical assessment of individual joints.
You will then be given a report of findings, where you will be told what the problem is, and how we can help you. You will be told about any exercise or changes to your lifestyle or diet that may be beneficial. In most cases you will then be offered treatment immediately, although in some cases when appropriate, x-rays or other tests may be required, and we will make the relevant arrangements.
If we cannot help you, we will advise you on the most appropriate alternative.
