Welcome to The Dolphin Clinic
Chinese Medicine is a complete medical system that is capable of treating holistically a remarkably wide range of conditions. It is based on over 2000 years of developments in the East and more recently in the West.
It includes herbal therapy, acupuncture, dietary therapy, acupressure-massage (Tui–Na) and exercises in breathing and movement (Tai Chi and Qi Gong). One or more of these may be employed in the course of treatment.
Bodies such as the World Health Organisation have confirmed how effective this system of medicine can be. Acupuncture is increasingly provided within the NHS. About a third of all prescribed conventional medicine is derived from herbs.
The skill of the practitioner is to diagnose what can be complex patterns of imbalance that are unique to each individual. I always personalise a treatment plan for every patient. My focus is on improving the overall well-being of my patients, as well as specific symptoms. Prevention is better than cure.
Always seek a properly trained practitioner who is a member of the recognised professional bodies and therefore has the requisite length and depth of training.
