Why should I start training

As a qualified personal fitness trainer, I can help you achieve your fitness aims in life! Maybe you want to lose some weight, or gain some extra muscle, or even just be able to run for the bus without getting out of breath.
Once you have made the decision to start exercising, I can give you a comprehensive fitness consultation to find out your aims and goals. This may include
  • Sub-maximal tests of muscle strength/endurance
  • Cardiovascular Thresholds
  • Lung function
  • Body Composition (5 minutes & non invasive)
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Grip strength
  • Blood pressure
  • Flexibility (normal range of motion)
All the tests will be explained to you prior to commencing and can be stopped at any time.
Once we have decided to work together, I will design a safe and individual training programme based on your wants, likes and dislikes.



Where do we train?

Based in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, I have a small private gym where I train clients, conduct fitness assessments and give Sports Massage.

Alternatively I can come to your home for fitness assessments and train with portable exercise equipment or we can use the local running routes in the fresh air, thats all we need!



About Steve Pell - Personal Trainer

Steve has been involved in sport and exercise since he left school in 1977. He taught fitness classes on the Greek island of Corfu during the eighties and nineties. He has also taught karate classes in Corfu, Portugal and Singapore. He is First Aid Qualified and CRB checked to work with children and vulnerable adults

Steve started training in Shotokan Karate in 1983 and is currently a 5th level Black Belt. He runs a Karate Club in Cheshunt from ages 7 to 60.

    Advanced Gym Instructor
    Personal Trainer Level 3
    Karate Instructor/Examiner
    Steve is a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals (membership number R0018088), accredited as a Level 3 Advanced Instructor, which is the highest level available to date.
    Steve regularly attends courses to further his knowledge and hear the latest research. Recent courses attended
