Welcome to Homeopathy Plus
Homeopathy is a complete system of medicine successful in treating a wide range of conditions. It is a holistic medicine that treats you as a whole person, taking into account your individual physical, mental and emotional condition.
It works on an energetic level to stimulate health and your bodies natural ability to heal.
Homeopathy is the second most widely used system of medicine in the world. It has been used for over 200 years, but has increased in popularity in the last decade with greater availability of information through the internet and wider acceptance of complimentary therapies.
It is based on the principle that 'like treats like'. Illnesses are treated with a medicine which could produce similar symptoms in a healthy person. For example slicing onion can cause stinging, streaming eyes and an acrid runny nose, if these symptoms are present in a patient’s cold then the homeopath may prescribe the remedy Allium cepa (made from onion). However, the active ingredients of a remedy are in a highly diluted form avoiding toxicity and making homeopathic remedies virtually 100% safe.
The Consultation
Your first consultation will take between one and two hours depending on the complexity of your case. You will be asked in detail about your symptoms, your physical and emotional history and your likes and dislikes. All of this information helps the selection of the most suitable remedy for you.
Further sessions will be a continuation, going over any new or important issues and addressing the changes with treatment.
Jessica uses Therapeutic Energy Kinesiology (muscle testing) to aid in selection of the correct remedy and for understanding and balancing your energy system.

About Jessica
Jessica has a BSc(Hons) in Medical Science from St Andrews University and graduated as a Medical Doctor (MBChB) from Manchester University in 2006. She has specialist medical experience in: Chest medicine, Intensive Care, General practice, Emergency medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Elderly medicine.
She graduated as a homeopath (MLCHom) from the Lakeland College of Homeopathy, where she now teaches. She is Secretary of the North West Institute for Homeopathy where she also regularly teaches. She trained in Kinesiology with Dr Adrian Brito-Babapulle and uses this in her consultation to assess vitamins, minerals and the energy centres of the body.
She is currently studying Chinese medicine and Acupuncture to add to her practice.
From her time in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and homeopathic experience treating women and their babies during pregnancy and birth Jessica has a special interest in this area and is happy to discuss natural and homeopathic support during this time.
