I practice mobile Reflexology in the Surrey area, so you can be treated in the comfort of your own home or workplace.
I have practised Reflexology for the last nine years dealing with Parkinson's disease, Arthritis, stress and stress related illness, pre menstrual tension, pregnancy, hyperactivity, sciatica, children and the elderly, depression and anxiety, back problems, muscular and skeletal problems, migraine, allergies, and also cancer.
If you are experiencing conditions such as these, or perhaps just in need of a little pampering, detoxing or de-stressing Reflexology is the way forward.
About Me
I have completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Spinal Reflexology. I have backed my Reflexology and many follow on courses with the Association of Reflexologists. These have all been very helpful in helping me to recognise certain illnesses.
Reflexology in Back Pain Oriental.
Hand Reflexology.
Reflexology help with cancer patients.
Reflexology help in childbirth.
Reflexology in the meridians and zone areas.
My Reflexology training with many courses outside of The Association of Reflexologists have all been helpful and in many ways interrelated. These include Aromatherapy. The Power of Feng Shui for Health and Harmony, and Indian Head Massage. Reflexology for me is a way of life. Without my regular reflexology treatments which I have regularly from my local reflexology group, I feel I would not function so well.
Long live Reflexology!
What is Reflexology?
It is said that our ancient ancestors may have practised Reflexology and foot manipulation as long ago as 2,500 - 2,300 BC in Eygpt and ancient China. It was'nt until 1913 that Dr William Fitzgerald introduced this therapy to the West as 'zone therapy'.
He noted that reflex areas on the hands were linked to other areas such as organs and other areas of the body which were linked to the same zone. He made the accidental discovery that if he firmly compressed specific parts on the fingers and toes using a variety of implements, he caused partial anaesthesia in the ear, nose and throat. He claimed that his discovery allowed him to perform minor surgery without using a more conventional anaesthetic.
Since then Reflexology has gone from strength to strength. Within the National Health Service reflexology is also gaining quite a following. In GP surgeries, for example, it is being used to treat stress and stress-related problems.
How can reflexology help me?
Reflexology works to relax muscle tension. It helps to restore and maintain the body's natural equilibrium. This gentle therapy helps the body to work naturally in order to maintain a healthy balance.
Reflexology acts on parts of the body by stimulating the corresponding reflexes with compression techniques with the fingers or thumbs. Where there is inhibited functioning or disease, reflexology can find congestion in the form of deposits that have not been cleared away by the venous circulation and the lymph.
Reflexology has been shown to be effective for:
Back Pain
Hormone imbalances
Sleep disorders
Migraine
Arthritis
Digestive disorders
Infertility
Sports injuries
Cancer
As a Refexologist I would never claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe.
