My name is Di Shimell and I have an acupuncture practice serving Sheffield and the surrounding area of South Yorkshire and Derbyshire, including Barnsley, Doncaster, Chesterfield and Rotherham. I work from 2 clinics, providing two very different ways of accessing acupuncture, the first is 1Space Affordable Acupuncture in Sheffield City Centre, this offers low cost treatments, which we are able to provide by treating up to 6 people at the same time, so cutting overheads. The other way is at The Lodge House in Walkley where I offer 1:1 private treatments, which are more expensive.
Acupuncture is safe and can be an effective way of treating a number of conditions, such as migraine, headaches, back pain, aiding fertility / treating infertility, insomnia, menopausal symptoms, problems with menstruation, stress, digestive problems, pain, boosting energy levels and a wide range of other health issues.
Qualifications
In order to qualify both Annette Lucas and I have completed a 3 year full time training to MSc standard at the Northern College of Acupuncture, based in York. We are also both members of the British Acupuncture Council, in order to become a member, you need to complete and pass a high standard of learning, as well as carry out manditory Continuing Professional Development.
