About Us
Lotus Acupuncture Clinic is run by Jeannie Beizley (traditional acupuncturist and member of the British Acupuncture Council).
I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council and have trained extensively in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture techniques and the philosophy and energetic practices that accompany it. I use my in depth knowledge of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture to understand each patients unique energetic imbalance and the best possible treatment to recreate balance and health.
I have been an RGN for 29 years and am a member of the RCN. I have been a qualified acupuncturist for 14 years, and am also a member of the British Acupuncturist Council. I completed a 3 year course at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine.
About Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a medical healing system in which very fine needles are placed at specific locations on the body called acupuncture points. It has been practised in China for at least 2000 years and has developed into a detailed and complete system of health promotion. It focuses on improving the overall well-being of the patient, addressing specific symptoms and any underlying reason for those symptoms.
Acupuncture has been developed alongside Chinese philosophy. It considers the body to contain energy called Qi (pronounced Chee). The Qi flows around the body through specific 'channels' or 'meridians'. Illness results from a failure of this Qi to move round the body in a balanced and harmonious way. By stimulating acupuncture points the Qi can be regulated, restoring the natural balance of the body and stimulating the body's own healing response.
Our Services
Because acupuncture uses the diagnostic and treatment methods of Chinese Medicine and Qi, it can treat a wide range of conditions that may or may not have a disease label within western medicine. I also offer hypnotherapy, life coach, timeline therapy and chinese massage treatments.
