Alexander Technique London is Caroline Dale's private practice.
Welcome to Alexander Technique London
Caroline offers a variety of programmes aimed at helping you to discover the personal benefits of this inspiring work. One-to-one sessions, workshops and short introductory courses for small groups are different ways you can learn about the Technique.
The Alexander Technique
The aim of learning the Technique is to increase your awareness of how you are using your body during everyday activities.
For example if you slump at your desk for long periods of time you will become tired because you can't breathe or digest properly. If you hold undue levels of tension (most of us do) you may be changing your body shape without realising it. If you use too much tension when you do things, you are building habits that can lead to more serious conditions.
Most of us do not know what we are doing to ourselves - and it's really worth finding out so that you can make any necessary changes before you are in pain or worse.
A short course of individual sessions should set you on a path for a more healthy future.

I began having Alexander Technique lessons in 1996 in my search for relief from a frozen shoulder and RSI. I realised that I would not be able to continue with my profession as an International Art Consultant unless my problems could be resolved.
After a series of lessons, my symptoms had all but gone and I found myself to be deeply interested in the principles underlying Alexander's discoveries and how they had alleviated the disorders that were seriously impacting on my body and general health.
Over the next two years I began to realise the potential for Alexander's work within many areas of society and I decided to train as a teacher. My three year training ended in 2001 and I have been teaching a wide variety of people since then. My pupils have ranged in age from 6 to 94 and have included a wide variety of disorders.
I train future Alexander teachers at The Alexander Teacher Training School in Central London.
I am Chair of the Training Course Committee of The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique. We are the largest society of Alexander Teachers in the world. (STAT)
I give presentations and workshops to a wide variety of professional and educational organisations.
