About Anand Marshall
Anand Marshall has been practicing Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine since 1998 . He qualified as a Traditional Acupuncturist from the London School of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and as a Kanpo Herbalist (Japanese herbalism) from the Japanese Herbal Medicine apprenticeship course. He undertook post graduate training in Japanese Acupuncture at Westminster University with Dr Stephen Birch.
He successfully completed post graduate training in Chinese Herbal Medicine with Dr Arnauld Versluys.
He was a lecturer and course coordinator at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental medicine on the BSc Hons Acupuncture course from 2001-2010.
He is the external examiner at the London College of Naturopathic Medicine on the Acupuncture module and is a lecturer and clinical supervisor at the City College of Acupuncure.
He has been involved in training literally 1000's of practitioners.
He has been working for the NHS since 2001 in Westminster as part of the complementary medicine service (the first of its kind in Britain) based in Marylebone where GPs refer patients suffering from insomnia, menstrual problems, peripheral joint pains and muscular skeletal problems.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a system of healing which is based on the philosophy that there are flows of energy within the body. In perfect health the energies flow smoothly. Due to stress, poor diet, lack of exercise, physical/emotional trauma etc, the balance of energy will be upset and ill health will occur resulting in back pain, menstrual complaints , stress etc.
Herbal Medicine - Kanpo
Kanpo is Japanese traditional herbal medicine based upon Chinese medical theory.
The formulas administered are derived from vegetable matter and do not use endangered or rare species. The herbs are freeze-dried and ground into concentrated powders or made into tablets to enable easy consumption. Please note you will not need to boil raw herbs to make a herbal tea. Japanese doctors have been prescribing Kanpo herbs under the Japanese national health system since 1967, as a result all Kanpo herbs have met the strict standards set by the Japanese ministry of health , which ensures their content and purity.
