I am a member of The Aromatherapists Society and also, International Federation of Reflexologists.
A full consultation is taken first of all to decide between us which treatment best suits your individual needs. The consultation normally takes between 15 mins to half an hour. This is done face to face and is free of charge.
PREGNANCY: There are many myths about holistic treatments during pregnancy:
Reflexology can help if you are planning to conceive, and, also in the last 6 weeks, help towards the birth of your child. We would discuss the treatment you would receive and I would explain the pressure points we would not be doing during pregnancy and the reasons why we use them nearer the end of your term.
During pregnancy, massage is allowed, and, you can be made comfortable to receive this, essential oils are NOT used on you, only a carrier oil, but, we may burn some oil or use an incense stick if you wish.
DIABETES: Again people have heard stories and are afraid to receive holistic treatments, or some practitioners may have told you that you are not allowed to have any treatments. This is untrue, and, your after care would be discussed with you. Most people find that Reflexology or massage can actually help regulate their sugar levels.
CLINICAL AROMATHERAPY
I Offer Clinical Aromatherapy, using Essential Oils in Massage Blended to suit your individual needs and requirements. This treatment can help with so many of the body systems in a relaxing way, and helps to heal the body, mind and soul.
REMEDIAL AND SPORTS MASSAGE
Remedial and Sports Massage - again designed around you and the best way to help relax and heal your muscles, or strengthen muscles. Wonderful for Sciatic problems, tennis elbow, neck strains, ankle injuries, etc.
CLASSICAL REFLEXOLOGY
Classical Reflexology - Working on the feet in a way that has been handed down since Egyptian times. This affects the whole body in a relaxing and also energising way. Exceptional with digestive problems, and, works wonderfully with anyone who feels depressed. A non-invasive treatment.
FACIAL REFLEXOLOGY
Facial Reflexology - a short 15 minute treatment that can also last an hour depending again on your own personal circumstances. A wonderful relaxing treatment, helping the flow of energies throughout your body, affecting the body systems in the same way as Classical Reflexology. Reiki is used with this treatment also.
INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
Indian Head Massage - A treatment using oils if on the skin or can be practised without. A deeply relaxing massage of upper back, shoulders, neck, head and face. Wonderful for neck tension, headaches and sinus problems, or, just for some 'me time'.
HOT STONES MASSAGE
Hot Stones Massage - I use the stones to either help with deep tissue massage for injuries and aches and pains, and, also for a relaxing aromatherapy massage. Either way, the heat is wonderful and relaxing and helps the flow of blood to the muscles at the same time as relaxing the mind.
REIKI
Usui Reiki - A non-invasive treatment, requiring you to do nothing more than lie - or sit - fully clothed while I work with the energies around your body, helping your own energies to raise higher to help your own body to start its own healing process.
MASSAGE IN SCHOOLS PROGRAMME
Massage In Schools Programme - a Wonderful way of teaching and helping children to understand 'good touch' and 'bad touch' while introducing them to ways of relaxation and health. They often go away from the class telling me how they will take this home and work on their older siblings who are stressed with exams, or a relative that is unwell. Bullying in schools decreases and attention in classes increases. For more information please contact me.
