About me
My name is Emma Bailiff.
I trained in Manchester for Swedish Massage, Anatomy and Physiology as well as Reflexology. Following this I also trained in Electro-magnetic Therapy.
Now based in Cockermouth since 2007, I treat and have clients visit me from a wide area of Cumbria.
In 2009 I attended an Advanced Reflexology course, which involved Hand Reflexology, Talking Feet and Metamorphic Technique.
Since October 2010 I have been attending a Remedial and Sports massage course in Glasgow and in June 2011 I have successfully qualified.
Also I have done a one day course on massaging during pregnancy, first aid.
Treatments
Reflexology
Acomplementary therapy based on the belief that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands which are believed to correspond to all organs and parts of the body. Reflexology works on an individual basis and may alleviate and improve symptoms such as everyday stress and tension.
During a typical reflexology session the reflexologist will take a detailed medical history. Sessions are usually performed on a couch, and performed on the feet. The practitioner will make a visual and tactile examination of the area to be worked before beginning the precise reflexology massage movements. The particular types of movements involved require the application of an appropriate pressure using the thumb and fingers.
Reflexology can be a wonderfully relaxing experience where you can take time out from everyday pressures. The therapist’s expert touch will help you relax which can help improve mood, aid sleep and relieve tension. The result is an overall sense of wellbeing
Magnetic Therapy
Magnetic Therapy uses clinical equipment which encourages your body cells to return to peak condition.
The equipment does this by improving the electrical state, blood supply and oxygen to cells, which in turn allows them to detoxify, regenerate and reproduce. When your body cells are in peak condition, all your bodily systems start to work as well as they possibly can. The healing process starts.
Arthritis and Electro Magnetic Therapy Electromagnetic. This therapy can improve mobility,reduce pain and swelling in a natural, side-effect free way.
This treatment has benefited many people in different ways.
With arthritic conditions you can expect to feel much less pain and have more movement after six weeks or so, but initial pain reduction will start after just two to three treatments.
