Mobile sports and holistic massage in the Berkshire area
Welcome to Body Balance Massage Therapy Body Balance Massage Therapy is run by Kathryn Miller, an ITEC-qualified, fully-insured massage therapist who specialises in sports and holistic massage.
Kathryn has experience in treating a diverse range of clients, from children and teenagers to working professionals and busy parents to the elderly. Kathryn is skilled in treating a variety of symptoms and conditions including back and neck pain, stress and anxiety and muscle tension as well as sporting injuries. As a massage therapist, Kathryn is a member of a healthcare team and works closely with other healthcare professionals; at times it may be appropriate to refer a client to another member of the team, such as a physiotherapist or GP, to further investigate their condition.
Massage is a simple, hands-on therapy and regular sessions can (together with a sensible diet and exercise) keep you feeling fit, healthy and supple. As well as helping you feel more relaxed, massage promotes circulation, helps maintain joint flexibility and relieve muscle tension and works to prevent musculoskeletal injury.

Professional accreditation
Massage is a hands-on therapy involving a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology and pathology. A qualification in body massage requires academic training as well as training in practical techniques.
There is no official regulatory body governing complementary therapists in the UK, as there is for medical doctors, and this can seem confusing when you are considering booking a massage. By choosing a qualified therapist who is a member of a professional body you can be assured that your therapist has been properly trained, is professionally accredited and is bound by a strict code of conduct.
Kathryn Miller has been awarded the following qualifications from the International Therapy Education Council (www.itecworld.co.uk):
- Body Massage (ITEC Level 3)
- Sports Massage Therapy (ITEC Level 4)
Kathryn is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, a professional UK-based organisation which lists accredited therapists on its website (www.fht.org.uk).
