Treatments & Contraindications
A massage treatment is non-invasive and therefore generally considered a safe treatment for most people, however there are certain medical conditions where a massage treatment will have to be modified and in some cases your GP's written permission may be required.
Please take the time to read through the following contraindications and if you are in any doubt please consult your GP before booking.
A massage cannot be performed if you have any of the following conditions:- Fever
- Contagious diseases, including any colds or flu symptoms
- Under the influence of drugs or alcohol, including prescription pain medication
- Skin diseases
If you suffer from any of the following conditions a massage can only be perfomed once you have gained written approval from your GP.- Cardiovascular conditions (thrombosis, phlebitis, etc.)
- Oedema
- High or low blood pressure
- Severe varicose veins
- Recent scar tissue
- Osteoporosis
- Cancer
- Nervous or psychotic conditions
- Epilepsy
- Diabetes
- Pregnancy
- Bell's palsy, trapped or pinched nerves
- Any other condition already treated by a medical practitioner

An Indian Head Massage improves circulation and lymphatic drainage, relieves muscular tension, headaches, sinus congestion and helps with emotional stress, anxiety & depression.
This treatment also includes an upper back, upper arms, neck, head and pressure point facial massage.
Invigorating Back Treatment

The back is an area that is often neglected, this complete treatment acts like a facial.
The back is exfoliated to lift away dead skin cells and eliminate impurities and toxins, then a relaxing and stress reducing massage melts away any remaining tension.
This treatment concludes with a mask especially chosen to suit your needs, leaving your back feeling smooth and invigorated.

This facial treatment is specifically adapted to each individual skin type and includes a cleanse, deep cleanse, exfoliate, steam, massage, mask, tone & moisturise.
Priadara products contain a natural botanical plant and herbal extracts, essential oils of the highest quality, rare and exotic seed oils and vitamin therapy to condition, balance and repair the skin.
They do not contain any artificial colouring, lanolin, mineral oil, artificial fragrances or harsh alcohols.
Priadara products are not tested on animals and contain no animal ingredients.
The mini facial excludes steam and mask application.

Hot Stone Massage

A Hot Stone Massage helps to warm the muscles, which eases tension & muscular aches. The heat expands blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body.
The hot stones have a sedative effect that can reduce stress and promote relaxation.
Cold marble stones are used on the face to de-congest the area, stimulate lymph and removal of toxins.
Deep Tissue Massage
A Deep Tissue Massage works on deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It reduces chronic pain, helps ease stress, tension headaches, rigid shoulders and tight muscles.
The massage technique involves using slower strokes and application of deeper pressure on areas of tension using elbows, forearms, knuckles and hands.

Hopi Ear Candling

Hopi Ear Candling helps to ease sinus congestion, cold & flu symptoms, excessive ear wax, tinnitus, glue ear, snoring, vertigo, tension headaches & migraines.
This treatment includes a pressure point facial drainage massage.
BodyCalm uses Biosun traditional ear candles, which are made from premium quality, pesticide-free untreated woven cotton, together with pure beeswax, honey and herbal essences of sage, St. Johns wort and camomile.
The ear candles are completely free from parrafin and other synthetic ingredients.
