Welcome to Bowen Back on Your Feet
Bowen Back on Your Feet is my own therapy business. I chose this name because Bowen therapy is so effective that many people are back on their feet very quickly after injuries or illness or get rid of depression after a few Bowen sessions. At Bowen Back on Your Feet the number one priority is to improve the quality of your life: less pains, a better posture, a peaceful sleep, more vitality! Sounds good isn’t it?! That’s the reason I chose to be a Bowen Practitioner, this is the profession where I can make a difference and help you get better.

What is the Bowen Technique / Bowen Therapy?
The Bowen Technique is one of the more gentle manual techniques that exist, and probably one of the most effective. The Bowen treatment pays special attention to the fascia – the sheet of connective tissue that covers the muscles, the internal organs and the bones.
By working on the muscles and fascia together, we can affect the way the body structure works, helping you adopt a less painful posture for example or a better function of the respiratory muscles: diaphragm, intercostal muscles etc. This approach often results in a long-lasting effect on the body alignment without the need for vigorous manipulation or pulling about. Being so gentle, everyone including babies and mature persons enjoy Bowen sessions.
The name of the therapy comes from Tom Bowen who developed this technique in the 1950’ trying to help his wife’s severe asthma. Very soon he developed procedures to address sport injuries and was able to relieve acute or chronic pains that his friends and acquaintances were suffering. He discovered specific points on the body and specific movements that help our bodies to start and maintain the healing process.
