Bowen Therapy for Pain Management & Prevention, Rehabilitation, Stress and Anxiety, Mothers to be and Babies, Digestive Problems, Respiratory Disorders, Frozen Shoulder...
Is pain or poor health preventing you from living the life you want?
Are you tired of feeling out of sorts?
Would you like to feel energised, balanced and healthy?
If you have answered yes to any of the above questions then you are not alone. Almost 10 million Britons suffer pain almost daily resulting in a major impact on their quality of life (The British Pain Society).
The Bowen Technique promotes movement towards a pain free state of health, wellbeing and balance by stimulating the body's innate healing capabilities.
What exactly is Bowen Therapy?
The Bowen Technique is a gentle, non-invasive, complementary therapy that empowers the body's own healing and repair mechanism.
Bowen utilises light, yet precise rolling 'moves' at specific sites on the body, (on muscles, tendons, ligaments or nerves) to deliver signals to the nervous system. These signals stimulate a healing response encouraging the body to return to its natural state of alignment, balance and wellbeing.
Bowen may provide relief for many types of injuries and health concerns including back and neck pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, headaches and migraines, digestive complaints, respiratory disorders such as asthma, dizziness and stress amongst many others.
The holistic nature of Bowen Therapy means that additional benefits including improved circulation, lymphatic drainage, immune function and detoxification may be experienced in addition to relief from the initial presenting health problem.
Whilst everybody responds to Bowen differently and in their own time, results may be remarkable, even from the first session.
Bowen may be used on everyone from newborn babies and children to pregnant women, the elderly and very sick as well as sports professionals.
Could Bowen help me?
Bowen may be performed on everyone from newborn babies and children, to the elderly and very sick as well as pregnant women and sports people. There is even a specialised Bowen course for the treatment of animals!
Whilst it is a great way to assist in repairing health, many people receive Bowen Therapy as a way to maintain their good health and overall wellbeing.

Your Therapist
Lauren Rinaldi BTAA BAUK
I had my first experience of 'Bowen' when I was only 11 years old and my mother took me for a treatment. Even as a child I knew that there was something very special about this gentle technique and I always looked forward to seeing my Bowen Therapist. In the years since my first treatment, Bowen Therapy has continued to amaze me with the response experienced not only by myself but by those around me, who often turned to Bowen when nothing else had helped.
Although I completed a Business Degree at University and went on to work in this domain, my overriding passion for health and well being, as well as an interest in natural therapies led me to a career change.
I qualified first as a Holistic Massage Therapist at St Mary's University College, Twickenham, and then went on to become a Bowen Therapist completing the course in my native Australia where The Bowen Technique originates. I was very fortunate to learn under my original Bowen Therapist, Anne Schubert, also a highly regarded Bowen Technique instructor who now travels the world teaching Bowen, in particular her 'Mind, Body Bowen' workshop.
Both disciplines require a comprehensive Anatomy & Physiology component to be completed which I achieved with distinction.
A full member of the Bowen Association UK (BAUK) and the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia (BTAA) I undergo regular ongoing training to maintain membership and continue learning within this field.
Growing up in Australia with exercise and sport being a major part of life, as well as being married to a professional athlete, has led to a particular interest in injury prevention, rehabilitation and pain management.
I have a genuine desire to improve the well-being and quality of life of my clients and would be more than happy to discuss your individual health concerns and needs with you.

Testimonials
"Bowen therapy with Lauren completely relaxed me after each session. I felt calm and peaceful. The main reason I went was for hip pain and by my third and final session the pain had gone and the exercises she gave me have maintained that. Highly recommend her and have referred friends to her since." Rebecca, Student Midwife and mother of two
"I have had Bowen therapy treatments from Lauren a number of times, and for a variety of different issues, from back and neck pain, to stress and insomnia. With each treatment I have experienced a very deep sense of relaxation during the session, and afterwards a very fast and definite improvement in my issues. After one visit my intense neck pain and headaches that I had been suffering from for 2 weeks, and that was not being relieved at all by pain killers or treatments from other therapists, was gone overnight. What a relief and a blessing! I have also seen Lauren for massage therapy, and again find the sessions bring deep relaxation, as well relief to tight muscles and knots. I would highly recommend Lauren, not only for her skills as a therapist, but her warm and welcoming nature. She truly cares for her clients." Yolande, Chief Radiographer & Kinesiologist
"I would recommend Lauren's Holistic Massage treatment to anyone. I suffer from a muscular condition which it helped greatly and it was also a very relaxing and enjoyable experience, well worth the money. Most importantly though, Lauren is very capable and makes you feel welcome and comfortable during your session. My advice to anyone considering a treatment is to go ahead, you won't have regrets". James, Rugby League Coach
"Dear Lauren,
Just a note to say thank you.
When I came to you it was to help shift a cough and a chest problem that comes and goes, but never completely, which in it self is draining in energy. Although generally fit from active work and yoga classes ,I do live, as most mature women, with minor but painful long standing problems caused by age and degeneration of the spine.
I am not sure what my expectations were for my first session of Bowen Therapy but I was amazed by the changes I felt initially during the session and then subsequently.
During the treatment the small manipulation to muscles in my back and legs caused a series of immediate responses from tingling in toes and fingers, muscle relaxation and ears popping.
As I left you I felt more energetic and my head had cleared , the difference in was as if I had been swimming in muddy water now it was crystal clear water, an uncanny experience.
That night I slept well, not waking with the cough. In the morning I woke without pain in my back, and after a very physical day’s work my back was still good, I kept commenting “it is not hurting”. My energy levels remained high to the end of my working week, despite the ongoing chesty cough during the day.
I am letting my body assimilate the effects and will certainly book another session in a few weeks.
Thank you again" Anna, Specialist Radiographer
