Modern neuroscience shows that the unconscious controls 90 per cent of our behaviour, so if you have emotions or behaviours that don’t respond to your conscious efforts to change or control them, “updating” your unconscious could help.

What is Cognitive Hypnotherapy? This approach is based on the idea that our thoughts directly affect our feelings which directly affects our behaviour.
The approach blends CBT, NLP and positive psychology to make quick and lasting change.
The aim is to identify the unique mind-pattern programme of the problem and to guide the unconscious towards the solution. Each session is tailored to the individual, which means the changes are more likely to be accepted by the unconscious mind, making them ongoing and permanent.
Traditional hypnotherapy aims to take you into a deep state of trance. It works on the belief that in this state you’re open to the suggestions made by the therapist.
These suggestions tend to be focused on the problem, so clients with the same issue tend to be treated in the same way. Instead, as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist we approach each person as an individual. We identify the unique mind-pattern of your issue and tailor a programme specially designed to guide you towards the solution that you want for yourself.
For example, two people may both smoke 20 cigarettes a day. For one it may be a response to boredom, the other may perceive smoking as essential to remaining calm.
The route to a solution for each will be different. And because this approach works within your model of the world (there are no ‘one-size-fits-all’ scripts) – the changes you wish to make are more likely to be accepted by your unconscious mind, making them ongoing and permanent.
Your Therapist Brenda Bentley is a fully qualified Cognitive Hypnotherapist practicing in Warwickshire (Stratford upon Avon & Studley) and West Midlands (Harborne, Birmingham).
She believes that everyone has everything they need to be successful and happy inside of themselves — sometimes we just need a little help finding it.

She trained at the internationally-recognised Quest Institute which teaches a science-based approach that applies the latest discoveries to help clients even more effectively.
